Andy Bushell – Franchise Director

Andy Bushell has vast experience of the estate agency industry after starting his career as a trainee back in 1993. Before joining Hunters he held a variety of roles at regional management level for large corporations.

Andy moved into the franchise market over 15 years ago when the concept was relatively new to the UK; particularly within the estate agency industry. His extensive experience in franchising has given him a deep understanding of the benefits for independent businesses to join the Hunters™ franchise model; one that he describes as having a strong feel with a modern twist and able to successfully operate across all demographics within the UK housing market- he is passionate about his work and hopes to see our franchise brand represented in all areas across the country.

When Andy has some free time, he enjoys socialising with his family and friends, getting away from it all on a relaxing holiday; he is also a keen (and talented) guitarist.

Jayne Twiddle – Head of Franchise Support

Jayne Twiddle is the Head of Franchise Support and is based in our York HQ. Jayne began her career in the estate agency industry back in 2002 as a negotiator and accompanied viewer. Since she started, Jayne has progressed through a variety of roles such as sales progression, valuer, branch manager, lettings, software support, and audits, so she really does have a great insight into the Hunters brand and how it works.

As Head of Franchise Support, Jayne is responsible for helping to build the franchise network to cover the whole of the UK and providing support for the people at the heart of our business, our franchisees. Her motivation and enthusiasm for working with people is what makes her so strong as part of the franchise team; her ability to trouble shoot problems and get things done is evident in all she achieves.

When Jayne finds some time out of the office, she likes to spend time with her children and grandchildren, and she also loves yoga, running, and just generally being outdoors.

Adam Graver – Marketing Manager

Adam Graver is based in York at Hunters HQ. Adam is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the marketing team. Adam’s work focuses heavily on the digital side of our business and includes lead generation through our website and social media, content creation, and ongoing management of third-party suppliers that help keep the Hunters brand strong in the property marketplace.
Adam moved to Hunters after completing his master’s degree in Business and subsequently spending a year as the Marketing Manager for Oxfam (Oxfam’s Music Branch). His keen interest in data and writing, and his flair for marketing has proved to be a real asset to Hunters.

Adam is focussed on engaging with our franchise partners to build their customer engagement online and within Hunters branches; he does this by using our social media assets, setting up new and exciting paid campaigns, and organising printed marketing materials to fully utilise the marketing opportunities we own as part of our full suite of client services.

Adam is an avid blogger in his free time, covering topics such as music, theatre, coffee and beer, he also loves music and tries to attend several live events a week; although, if there is a Leeds United match on – that is where you will most likely find him.

Gemma Allen – National Training Manager

Gemma Allen joined the Hunters family at the tender age of 21 and has been with us ever since. Gemma has worked hard to tackle and master several roles during her time with us; before moving to our York HQ to take up her role as Training Manager, she was the Branch Manager of our Central Manchester office.

Gemma is very motivated in her role; her ‘can do’ attitude is infectious, and she is dedicated to working hard as part of a great team to achieve big things for Hunters.

Gemma expertly guides all franchisees and Hunters staff through the HNQ qualification and ensures all future training needs are met through a constantly updated portfolio of provision- she has some grand plans to expand and increase the training solutions currently on offer- so watch this space.

When Gemma is not engaging with franchisees, pulling together training resources, and delivering nationally accredited training programmes, she likes to unwind with her family and friends, searching for the perfect Espresso Martini, or simply getting lost in a good book.

Glynis Frew – Chief Executive Officer

Glynis Frew was appointed our CEO in 2016 after relentlessly proving her true value to the brand since joining the company in 1999. Based in our Central York Headquarters, Glynis works tirelessly to oversee the growth, reputation, and development of Hunters into the nation’s favourite estate agent.

Glynis is passionate about continually driving the company forward with the staff teams that are integral to the success of the company; and with no two days the same, it is a good job she relishes a challenge.

Before joining Hunters, Glynis held managerial positions at United Biscuits, and PepsiCo; working at these large multinational companies gave her the managerial skills and customer facing experience that she has effortlessly transferred into her roles in the estate agent industry.

When Glynis is not steering the growth and achievements of Hunters, she can be found reading, gardening, watching films and learning to play the piano.

Ed Jones – Chief Financial Officer

Ed Jones became part of Hunters back in 2006 and works from our HQ in York. Ed has over 25 years’ experience in running businesses ranging from SME status up to PLCs. As our number cruncher, he is an expert in assessing risks, delivering results, raising required funding, and making sure we continue to provide the ‘best in class’ service we strive to deliver

Ed is passionate about how we also invest in our people; being very ‘end user’ focused enables him constantly analyse and drive our ongoing investment in digital services as these ensure we constantly increase how slickly we can operate; we spend more time serving and helping our customers, rather than just administratively processing.

When Ed is not absorbed in a spreadsheet, he enjoys mixing and talking to people to hear their thoughts and views; he is particularly interested in how societies work, history, and how Governments seek to juggle and fix problems.
